Art Enrichment Program - bringing the art class to you
Creative Workroom offers a school art enrichment program for primary school students. Join us as we draw, paint & create art from countries and artists around the globe. Students will meet once a week to develop their creativity, learn about cultures, and create exciting art projects. Throughout the program students will learn about different artistic styles and artists using a variety of techniques and methods. All lessons will be adapted to each student's ability level.
I understand many primary schools do not currently have the funds to hire a full-time art teacher. This is where Creative Workroom comes in - to fill a need for art education without making a large financial commitment. You could utilise my service once a week over a term to spread the cost over a longer period, while still enjoying the opportunity of a specialist educator. After consultation with the relevant teachers I can tailor a set of art lessons to fit in with their current curriculum topics. I would incorporate relevant artists and art history, while making it interesting and engaging for the children.
One technique that works well in a class situation is guided painting/drawing. These are a fantastic way to help students learn to draw and I like using them for grades Prep-3. After that, I find it best to demonstrate drawing possibilities for your students and let them find their own way.
